i4 Inverter Spot Welding System
Pro Spot International, Inc. introduces a new line of inverter spot welders featured with the latest of current monitoring technology.
Years of research and developing and close cooperation with car manufactures have finally paid off. The system is designed to handle the difficult-to-weld materials such as Boron steels and High Strength alloys.
The industry is changing. More than 10 different types of steel in one vehicle is not unusual. Steels such as AHSS, HSS, T.R.I.P., BORON are extremely advanced with yield tensile strengths over 1,000 MPa (megapascals).
Is your welder ready for this?
The i4's Current Sensing welding electrodes will never be obsolete because the i4's software can be easily upgraded as new data and information become available.
The i4 technology is revolutionary compared to others in the industry. It not only measures, monitors and automatically adjusts the weld current, it does it on the secondary loop at the tips. By measuring the current on the secondary side of the transformer it leaves no guess work whatsoever. It samples the weld 650 times per cycle or ONE million times per second using the same technology used in the space shuttle and in most satellites. The AD converter (Analog to Digital) is extremely powerful and allows the i4 to deliver the exact weld current that is set by the operator regardless of outside circumstances such as low voltage supply, large weld nuggets, dirt tips etc.
It also features adjustable upslope and down slope. Upslope ramps up the current to assure for a smooth current draw and less demand from primary current. The smoother initiation of the weld also decreases the chance of sparking.
